The Cambridge Housing Authority (CHA) is a governmental entity established under state law on December 9,1935, by the City of Cambridge, with a mission to develop and manage affordable housing for the residents of Cambridge, Massachusetts.

The Cambridge Housing Authority is a national leader in the development, management and administration of subsidized affordable housing for low-income elderly, family and disabled households.

The Cambridge Housing Authority provides more than 5,000 low income families, elders and disabled individuals with affordable apartments or rental assistance.

Our mission is to develop and manage safe, good quality, affordable housing for low-income individuals and families in a manner which promotes citizenship, community and self-reliance.
