About Burlington Housing Authority

The Burlington Housing Authority (BHA) is Vermont's oldest and largest municipally-based housing authority. Created in 1961, BHA has been providing affordable housing for over fifty years to individuals and families in the City of Burlington and surrounding communities.

We manage over 600 affordable apartments and provide rental assistance to over 1,700 families living in our jurisdiction, which is the City of Burlington and a number of surrounding communities.

The mission of Burlington Housing Authority (BHA) is to promote, provide and preserve affordable housing in ways that encourage resident self-sufficiency and support healthy neighborhoods.
