About Tuskegee Housing Authority

Our agency was incorporated on July 13, 1953. Established as the Housing Authority of the City of Tuskegee, we were founded to provide decent, safe and affordable housing to the residents of Macon County, Alabama.

The earliest properties were the Fieldcrest, Elmwood, Maple Gardens and Hillwood communities.

Later, the largest developments were built. These were the Ridgewood community and the Westbrook Subdivision. Westbrook is one of the few Turnkey III properties developed by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, in the country.

The latest properties built were the Hightower and Lakeview communities.

We provide a variety of housing from zero bedroom units, to spacious five (5) bedroom family homes, in well kept neighborhoods.

The Tuskegee Housing Authority continues to strive on providing quality housing, with quality service for it's families.
