About Ormond Beach Housing Authority

OBHA owns and manages 41 public housing units and administers 193 Section 8 vouchers. A five member Board of Commissioners appointed by the Mayor of Ormond Beach governs the OBHA.

Public housing was established to provide decent and safe rental housing for eligible low-income families. The Ormond Beach Housing Authority has 41 public housing units. This consists of six 1-bedroom units, twenty 2-bedrooms, ten 3-bedrooms, and five 4-bedrooms. They are located in the Ormond Beach area.

The housing choice voucher program is the federal government's major program for assisting low-income families to afford decent, safe, and sanitary housing in the private market. The Ormond Beach Housing Authority currently has 193 vouchers under the Section 8 program. Participants of this program have the choice of selecting their landlord in the designated area covered by the OBHA. This area includes Ormond Beach to Port Orange, east of I-95. We are no longer accepting Section 8 Pre-Applications.
