About Palm Beach County Housing Authority

Palm Beach County Housing Authority was created under Chapter 421 of the Florida Statute, and first opened its doors in June 10th, 1969, to provide affordable housing stock to low-income families through rental assistance programs: Housing Choice Voucher and Public Housing. The Agency is formed as a Special District of the State of Florida and presents an integral role in affordable supportive housing initiatives on a countywide platform.

Palm Beach County Housing Authority is and has been responsible for all of the accompanying responsibilities of administration, maintenance, and management of its Section 8 Program, Affordable Housing Apartment Units, and Public Housing.


Mission Statement

The mission of the Palm Beach County Housing Authority is to be a leading Palm Beach County housing agency assisting with affordable housing (low-income and moderate-income) needs of families, the elderly, and individuals with disabilities, as these residents are striving for self-sufficiency and/or independent living. PBCHA resolves to collaborate and partner with key stakeholders that also share the mission of affordable housing, self-sufficiency, and independent living.
