About Lawrenceville Housing Authority

The Housing Authority of the City of Lawrenceville (LHA) was established on May 8, 1950 and was funded through the Housing Act of 1937 for the purpose of providing decent, safe, and sanitary housing to the low-income citizens of Lawrenceville and the surrounding areas.

Since it's establishment, LHA has developed 9 housing sites with a total of 212 public housing units. The Authority's operating fund consists of rental income and federal subsidies from the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Most residents served by the Housing Authority are elderly and working families.

LHA is designated as a "high performing agency" by HUD and is committed to serving all of our residents, participants, and the public in a manner cosistent with the principles of respect, fairness, and equity.
