About Hajc

The Housing Authority of Jefferson County (HAJC) is to provide the best housing experience possible while maintaining the integrity of the program. Through the vision of the Board of Commissioners, fiscal responsibility, re-organization of staff, and cross training, HAJC has been successful at bringing the organization to capacity. This has allowed us to transition into a successful asset management based organization, while maintaining a High Performance Standard over the past six years. HAJC considers itself a viable community organization that has a responsibility to contribute to the surrounding communities throughout the county. We do this by involving ourselves in multiple community organizations and other units of government to help us accomplish our vision, missions and goals. We consider our tenants to be shareholders in the organization. Taking the time to listen to our tenants needs contributes to the success of the organization. One thing we continue to hear is that tenants chose HAJC because of the quality of housing and services we provide.
