About Summit Housing Authority

In Summit, the Housing Authority owns and manages 195 low-rent family, elderly, and handicapped housing units. The Summit Housing Authority is also the City of Summit's designated local redevelopment agency and administers the City's Community Development Block Grants Program.

As the City's designated Affordable Housing Administrator, the Housing Authority is responsible for the administrative aspects of the management, development and rehabilitation of affordable lower income housing.

The Summit Housing Authority does not provide emergency shelter services. Families in need of emergency shelter should contact their local social service agency.
