About Akron Metropolitan Housing Authority (AMHA)

The Akron Metropolitan Housing Authority is a public agency chartered by the State of Ohio, funded in part through the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development to provide subsidized housing for eligible citizens of Summit County.

We, as a public agency, with the support of our board of trustees and a commitment from all staff, have a shared responsibility to provide results-oriented, quality work and services for our customers.

AMHA is committed to and responsible for providing attractive, safe and affordable housing options and services for all eligible families, elderly and individuals with special needs, in a professional and caring manner.
