About Jackson Metropolitan Housing Authority (JMHA)

Jackson Metropolitan Housing Authority was established on October 20, 1970. Jackson MHA opened the Fairview Terrace apartments in 1982, with Bundy Heights to follow in 1985. The Cambrian apartments in downtown Jackson were also opened in 1985.

The Section 8 Voucher Program was established in 1988, with a total of 25 vouchers. More vouchers were issued in 1989(18), 1990(15), 1994(18), 2001(8), 2002(24). We were also issued 50 non-elderly disabled vouchers each in 2001 and 2002, making a total of 208 vouchers.
