About Monroe County Housing Authority

Monroe County Housing Authority which is located in Sparta WI.

We have 3 different programs:

1. Elderly/disabled units located in Sparta, Tomah, Oakdale, Warrens, Wilton and Cashton (74 units). For this program you must be 62 years of age or older. If under 62, must be receiving A SSI Disability to be eligible. Rent is usually 30% of your gross income.

2. We manage the Kilbourn Apartments in Tomah (16 units), which is a family housing unit, which serves adults with children. Single adults with no children can apply, but their name will be at the bottom of the list. Rent is based on your income.

3. Section 8 (HUD) program. Currently not accepting applications. Been closed since October.

All of our programs have a waitlist. Our programs are for the Monroe County area only.

Additional Information

Monroe County Housing Authority expects to open the waitlist in early 2018. They will advertise in local papers when those applications become available. Contact their office to be added to a list to be notified when the waitlist opens.
